Mottisfont Abbey Estate encompasses over 2,000 acres and includes most of Mottisfont village, farmlands and woods. Set on the west bank of the River Test, Mottisfont Abbey is surrounded by sweeping lawns with ancient trees and walled gardens. A former medieval priory, the abbey has been adapted over the centuries by a series of owners.

Pete Jarvis quietly gets on with creating beauty out of the more or less accidental beauties of Southampton's architectural heritage. King John's palace is a masterpiece of quietly stated craftsmanship which calls for meditative concentration. Detail and overall design are finely balanced to produce the most satisfying work of art.
